32 residents and supporters, including councillors, local police and a students’ union representative, gathered at Bevois Town Primary School on Monday 20th April for our Annual General Meeting. Committee members and officers have been elected /re-elected , with Sue Swallow as our Chair.
The formal business of the AGM was followed by an Ordinary General Meeting which saw a presentation from PC Lee Scott about new policing arrangements in our area and then a really positive and productive discussion about ideas and priorities for the year ahead. As a result we will be continuing to work under the Common Ground “umbrella”, reaching out to others who have a stake in the area and focussing on six key areas: greening, cleaning, planning, community liaison (including social events), the History group and communications ( improving the way we let others know about OARA and hearing back from them).
